Starky's ABQ Has Moved into the Old Assets Space at Montgomery and Louisiana—Assets closed its doors without much fuss on Aug. 22 of this year, and new tenants, Starky's ABQ, are now open for business. The Starky's menu is largely sandwiches, pastas, salads and daily specials, with some fancier fare thrown in at dinnertime. Starky's is one of the few places in town you can get tableside steak Dianne, as well as a more casual spinach salad that's tossed with hot bacon dressing right in front of your eyes. The new owners (who hail from Portland, Ore.) retained the original Assets chef, so you can still get Assets' signature sesame-battered calimari and a few other old favorites. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, and open for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m., but a lounge menu is available all day long in the restaurants big wooden bar.

The Resort at Sandia Casino is Open for Your Business—Sandia Casino unveiled their epic 434,284 square foot addition last week, which includes more than 200 guest rooms, a full-service spa and three swanky new dining concepts: the breathtaking Bien Shur Rooftop Lounge, The Council Room Steakhouse and the Bien Shur Lounge. The resort also boasts a 50,000-square-foot meeting space, 18 holes of golf (designed by renowned Scottsdale course architect Scott Miller) and an outdoor heated pool, complete with cabanas and a full-service bar.
