The only thing Burqueños love more than chile is our local craft beer (and we even put chile in some of those brews). So it’s no surprise that our lovely city is celebrating our love for this boozy goodness with an entire week dedicated to beer and beer-related activities! ABQ Beer Week 2016 will start Thursday, May 26, and stretch through Sunday, June 5. Here’s the skinny on some of the events we’re most excited about:

May 26

6PM Torino’s @ Home (7600 Jefferson NE) is hosting a kick-ass beer dinner featuring Santa Fe Brewing Co. Entry is $45 a person but with all of this awesome food, like a lobster and avocado salad paired with a hefeweizen, it’s totally worth it.

May 27

4:30PM Boese Bros. is having a special tapping event at Imbibe (3101 Central NE) to showcase their new white IPA, Zeus Juice! These guys know how to do beer and I, personally, will not be missing the chance to be the first to try their new creation.

May 28

12PM The Albuquerque Brewing Co. (8600 Pan American Fwy) is hosting a corn hole tournament at their taproom. Entry is $5 a person but the bragging rights are worth way more than that. Have a pint, wind up that arm and toss away!

May 29

4:30PM Santa Fe Brewing Co.’s ABQ taproom (3600 Cutler NE) is teaming up with their Green Jeans Farmery neighbors to host an amazing beer and food pairing. There will be samples available and, of course, delicious food.

May 30

3PM Marble Brewery Downtown (111 Marble NW) is getting their Memorial Day on with a free festival. Check out the awesome food trucks, sample some beers and make new friends.

May 31

3PM Tractor Bewing Co. Wells Park (1800 Fourth Street NW) hosts a beer and cheese pairing that lasts all evening. If you need something more substantial than cheese, Tractor boasts some pretty rad food trucks. If you love cheese as much as I love beer, this event is the one you’ve been waiting for.

June 1

2PM Join amazing podcasters 10 Drink Minimum and Santa Fe Brewing Co.’s (3600 Cutler NE) panel of experts as they talk about the art of brewing, new beer releases and other interesting beer culture points.

June 2

6PM Join the good folks at O’Niell’s at Juan Tabo (3301 Juan Tabo NE) as they host a Mother Road Brewing Co. tap takeover! Try three new brews from Mother Road and chow down on some tasty food.

June 3

6PM Head to the National Hispanic Cultural Center (1701 Fourth Street SW) to join the New Mexico Brewers Guild as they premiere never before released beers from over 15 New Mexico breweries. There will be live music, a pig roast and, of course, all the drinks.

June 4

5PM Tractor Brewing Co. Wells Park (1800 Fourth Street NW) is wonderful enough to host the Planned Parenthood Beer and Bands fundraiser. Featuring artists such as Keith Sanchez, Desert Darlings Belly Dance and Robb Janov, it’ll be a good time for a good cause.

June 5

2:30PM Wrapping up beer week is a lovely dessert day at the Rio Bravo Brewing Company (1912 Second Street NW) where they’ll be hosting a chocolate and porter pairing. Sip a wonderful Piñon Porter and nibble on decadent hand-crafted chocolate while enjoying live music and good company.

There are more events than we can shake a pint glass at so plan your adventures wisely. And of course, drink responsibly and use a designated driver!
