Hotel Andaluz (125 Second Street NW) just announced that they've hired Marc Quiñones as executive chef. Quiñones was a finalist for New Mexico Chef of the Year and Food Network's “Cutthroat Kitchen.” He won Albuquerque Magazine’s title of “Best Chef in the City” in 2012 and 2013. And he once cooked for President George W. Bush aboard Air Force One. This guy is big-time.

Locally owned Red Rock Roasters (4801 Jefferson NE, Rio Rancho) is now offering classes for coffee enthusiasts. Learn the secrets behind the perfect cup. Classes are free, but they suggest donations of $5.

Hometown Recognition

Sandelman & Associates ranked Dion's number 5 on their Top 10 quick-serve restaurants. The pizzeria took honors alongside some big names like Chick-fil-A and In-N-Out Burger.
