If you have a sense of smell and you go outside with any regularity, you probably know that it’s officially green chile roasting season—otherwise known as the start of autumn in New Mexico. While you could just go to the grocery store and buy some pre-chopped chile out of the freezer section, that’d be pretty uncool of you. You know what would be cool? Going to Los Poblanos to buy some fresh-roasted chile from a local organic farmer.

This Saturday at the Los Poblanos Farm Shop, Armijo Organic Farms will be roasting and selling their chile from 9am-3pm. The Armijo family has been growing their unique Sabinal Special chile on their 7-acre farm in Sabinal for over 20 years with no pesticides or GMO products. That means you can feel good about what you’re eating and where your money is going.

Stroll the always-beautiful Los Poblanos grounds, roll around in some fields of lavender and check out what’s new in the Farm Shop after you get your chile fix.

The event is free but
ticketed. Check lospoblanos.com/events-calendar to claim your spot.
