Sorry about the gushing and such, but damn. The dudes at Generator sure know how to curate a show. Their first one, Impossible Objects, was super rad in that it broke down the barrier between art and audience, and now they're following it up with artist Ann Gaziano's Patterns From Home and Some Shoptalk, a bulkily named installation that invites viewers to see the piece from inside as well as out. Gaziano sculpts architecturally inspired work from familiar shapes and objects, such as chairs, pyramids and fabric, that create an emotional environment. Growing up in Santa Fe, Gaziano takes some of that influence from Alexander Girard and John Gaw Meem, the latter an especially interesting guide as Meem built the space that now houses Generator. Don't expect to sit back and stare at the art from a distance: Gaziano and the curators of Generator want you to get lost in the space and sculptural surroundings. (Patricia Sauthoff)
