Or perhaps just left the caps-lock on. I am also an EGYPTOLOGIST and do not find the idea of chasing mummies very enlightening to our field.
First, and contrary to popular belief, mummies don't actually run. They don't even walk for that matter. Mostly they just lay still in their sarcophagus. They probably don't move because they're all wrapped up in bandages which would make movement difficult. Though it could also be because they are dead.
Second, these were rulers of a mighty nation during their time. I think they should have earned enough respect by working hundreds of thousands of slaves to death in the course of building their tombs not be chased about by some necrophiliac paparazzi.
And third, some mummies aren't even from Egypt! What's this about "Tollund Man" and "Bog Bodies"? There are no Bogs in Egypt, I can assure you my friend.
So shame on you, Dr. Zahi Hawass and The History Channel.
