Support Julian from his neck (11)
  • Support Julian from his neck  [ Fri Dec 3 2010 7:29 PM ]

    Hey Laze

Do you expect all Government documents and transmittals to be open to every citizen who inquires? If you actually do, I can see a lot of disappointment in your future. There are a lot of laws already in place to reduce your 1st Amendment rights. Don't get me started.

I sincerely hope that you can step back, take a deep breath, and consider how your government may need to have a bit of privacy in their dealings in foreign diplomacy.

Obama is being "deliberate" as usual, meaning SLOW to react.

    Regards

Wikileaks was certainly to come along at some time due to the internet. Too bad our leaders weren't on the first wave. Hillary's face was stricken when she got the news.

Thanks for calling me a Nazi, I guess. Calling me a friend would be worse.

I have belonged to the Green Party of New Mexico for 20+ years. I've never shopped Wal-Mart and my Progressive friends get uncomfortable when I go off on the evils of shopping there. I spend very little with "chains" and patronize mom and pops when possible even if I pay more, have to wait or suffer mild inconveniences.

Our Nation has had and will always have secrets that are not for the Public access. It's called Top Secret and you may have seen the warnings in a movie or show. That would be a great comedy spoof otherwise... D-Day on twitter, for instance...

    Laugh.... roll... laugh.... roll....

I'm back in my chair now. Whining here at the Alibi will gain you nothing, I guess, so call your Senators and tell them what your beef is regarding the TSA, drug-testing and cameras. I'm sure they are as mad as you are, at the Fascists that are in charge of this Country. I didn't notice either Senator coming out in support of Assange or the overwhelming public support either. Durn Corporate Media keeping me ignorant and whut-not.!

    Regards

    Mike

152,000 fans daily for a website is one human factor. Another is the human factor caused by an America-hater bent on embarrassing the US without any regard to the human carnage left behind, worldwide. The "moles", double-agents, spies and diplomats who are at risk of life, limb and liberty will never be known,... obviously. Curiously, how many executions throughout the less-civilized world are you willing to justify, and to what extent of torture are you cool with in your support of the Wikileaks Freedom of Expression/Speech demonstrations? Do you know that a Turkish/India/Egyptian spy may boil in oil for his/her contributions to the US Intelligence, due to this debacle, and at best be shot to death by a firing squad? Or spend the rest of their life in a squalid pen?

"He was paid well for his information and he well-knew all the risks going in, dammit!!" is a poor consolation as you're immersed in a vat of oil as the heat is rising.

Extraction teams are mobilized and pulling the moles from every country. Evacuation sequences are being initiated by terrified agents everywhere, but many won't be honored, because espionage isn't an honorable field. If you are an Army Ranger, the entire Force will converge to rescue you, or at the least, to recover your body honorably. The powers that be in "what ever country" may choose to abandon some sources because spying on Allies is always awkward, and a forcible rescue can lead to a much larger problem for the State Department.

Rooting for a rogue is fashionable for young people and I "get it". Your hero has hit the jackpot for human tragedy and is dispensing it as well as any Machevillian figure in the history of Mankind has, and more-so, due to the vastness of the internet and communication worldwide. This is no hero to me. He isn't kicking "the Man" in the nuts... most of the victims will be low-level sources and local diplomats in other countries, looking for a paycheck.

    Regards

    Mike

"...corporations have more rights than you do...."

Just now figured that one out, did you? It's called Capitalism and it's what this place was founded on. If you do your homework you will see that all that power of the voter and we the people stuff is just there to keep the masses at bay. You know, like Wal-Mart and the Bible and strip clubs. Reality sucks and if you don't play the game by the rules--fair or not (and usually not) then you pay the price. If getting high is more important than working, then don't be a hippy and complain that you can't keep a job. Believe me, I spend most of my life in the trenches, fighting the good fight for the proleteriat and the unrepresented. But certain realities are just that--reality.

And no, I'm not Left, Right, Green or whatever. I'm black.

    As in beautiful, baby.

  • No,  [ Thu Dec 9 2010 4:51 PM ]

I'm suggesting that anyone who is outraged at the outragous and unfair practices of big buisness/corporate America is either naive or uninformed. We are all guilty in the eyes of the rich and powerful. Nobody likes it and few have the frogskins or gumption to change it.

I got very little problems with stoner hippies.

    Ya dig?

  • Great...  [ Fri Dec 10 2010 1:29 PM ]

...another stoner trying to educate me on my heritage. No thanks, hippie.

"...At this time, the Constitution has about as much value in the halls of our government as any Indian treaty."

Wow man, that's exactly what I was trying to impart to you. It's like you're in my brain or something. Whoa.

  • Primitive bomb carriers to expert hackers  [ Fri Dec 10 2010 6:51 PM ]

    Hey laze

Personally I'm not interested in your youthful angst.

Assange is a larger interest, of course. This is a dress-rehearsal for a much more strategic cyber-attack. Like my first post indicated, our leaders should have predicted this and been on the "first wave" of defense.

Thankfully to Mr. Assange, who sits in jail now, the US Government is warned that it's not necessarily the hate-driven foreigners who will shut down the entire infrastructure of our country. It can be nerd hackers and maybe even hippies like laze (doubtful, but who knows?).

Thanks Mr. Julian Asange for finally getting my countries' attention to cyber-terrorism on the map. The most intelligent US President in history, got handed a "get out of jail card", on this one. Maybe, instead of stimulus money to ungrateful banks, he will upgrade our cyber defenses.

Do you know that there are academies in China that are training cyber-terrorists and developing young people to eventually attack and control the international networks? Young people can be molded into anything; from primitive bomb carriers to expert hackers.

    Regards

    Mike

  • The festive Green party on Christmas Day  [ Sat Dec 25 2010 12:15 PM ]

    Laze

Merry Christmas!!! I genuinely hope you enjoy the peeps around you and count your blessings - and I hope they are bountiful.

To your question: what political party should I belong to? The only one that would fit like a glove is THE MIKE PARTY. I would be the only member and it would be difficult to raise money for my fascist agendas.

Remember my earlier post where I was concerned with undercover agents being "outed" and tortured to death? The Green Party is about compassion for all beings... including humans. We recognize that the largest agenda that we should be ultimately concerned with is our Home Planet. We should all join the Greens and be low-level environmentalists, like me and restrict our carbon footprint to the extent we can. Use less water and fuel, live in smaller spaces, reduce our energy consumption.

Laze, I also recognized Mr. Julian for nudging the government into "cyber-safety"; my new term. I'll bet Federal peeps are working overtime here on Christmas Day to evaluate where their leaks came from and close them. He was a clumsy messenger, for sure, and deserves what he gets. If you had a boatload of secrets that would cause 1.) Transparency in government 2.) Torture/Death to govt. peeps and agents, which would you choose? Or would you bow out like me and watch on the sidelines while rooting for a different game, the Environment?

Today, I wish you the best.

    Regards

    Mike

    I'm liking your platform.

Post deleting hippie should take a bath and chill out on the epithet hurling. It's gonna fuck up his frisbee arm.
