Oh gee, what a pitty, that police are being punished because of the actions of a few. [ Thu Mar 17 2011 1:46 PM ]
HOW THE HELL DO YOU LIKE IT? THE PUBLIC (SORRY,,,CIVILIANS)ARE ALWAYS PUNISHED BY YOUR WWE STYLE THOUGHT PROCESS, AND YOUR ACTIONS REGARDING "CIVILIANS."
The police aren't really who is being punished [ Thu Mar 17 2011 3:14 PM ]
When government grunts are forced to hide their thoughts from the public, maybe it sucks a little bit for them, but it sucks a lot more for the rest of us. There's a lot corruption and incompetence that they see and would love to be able to tell us all (and we would love to hear it) but many of them would be fired if they did that. Now this includes cops too?
Even if they don't spill the beans on ways they see our money being wasted, who doesn't want to know what is going through the heads of the best-armed people out there?
I hope the mayor gets rid of whoever came up with this censorship idea, because this isn't merely a bad judgement call. It reveals a shitty anti-civic attitude, a lack of even trying to serve the public.
We'll talk about this again in 2013. Mayor Berry, are we going to be saying you looked the other way, or will we be praising how you cleaned out some scum in the name of transparency?
