Now that DADT is repealed and the country suddenly has a wide-eyed awakening of how truly awful this legislation was to begin with, the origins and the culprit who was chiefly responsible for this travesty will go into the dustbin of history. I request that everytime DADT is mentioned anywhere, there should be an accompanying black and white grainy terrible picture of Senator Sam Nunn, preferable with red devil horns and a caption: "architect of DADT, outstanding homophobe of America". Anyone who remembers those accounts of him crawling through submarines and lamenting that "we can't have our fine boys in contact with homosexuals in such close quarters" will know what I'm talking about. No one should ever forget what a truly horrible asshole this guy was, ruining the lives of over 15,000 service men and women, who wanted nothing more than to serve this country honorably. There has to be a special place in hell for this son of a bitch! Oh, and save some room for John McCain as well.

Is being gay an issue in Switzerland? Is having 50,000 troops in every troubled country a Swiss issue?. Was Donald Rumsfeld the most disturbing person is this country's recent past? Is this country a war-monger? We are a deeply troubled nation. And what do we get? Sarah Palin. Someone help us, please?

I've always agreed 100% with Mr. Ortiz y Pino, so I find this post discouraging. Things have gone very sour in one year, yet everyone forgets the absolute shit-hole that Obama rescued us from after eight years of Bush/Cheney. Perhaps he's been slow to do some things, but jeez, we were in an absolute shit-hole a year ago, nothing to do with Obama, and everyone is judging him on the state of affairs today, without recognizing where we came from. Please have hope, all you would-be deserters. Imagine where we'd be today with McCain/Palin? (I shudder)

Once again, our Dept of Homeland Security screws up, and the rest of us schmucks pay the price. These new rules are just ridiculous. No activity during the last hour of flight? What the hell does that mean or accomplish? We have absolute idiots running this department. Next year, we will all have to strip naked to get on a flight, thats what its coming down to.

This country just gets stupider and stupider in reaction to events. We go to war over "gut feelings", we force everyone to take off shoes instead of intelligent screening, we block meaningful health care reform because the president is black and a socialist/communist/terrorist/democrat, and now we have to keep our hands insight during the last hour of a flight?

We are now a Glenn-Beck-dumbed-down country where we just scream at everyone and carry around stupid signs we think are cute that some idiot at a tea-bag party told us to make. We are collective idiots.
