Tempis fugit...  [ Thu Jun 6 2013 3:28 PM ]

... especially when you are bleeding out!

That's messed up. 911/AFD/APD operators need some remedial training.

Was Pearson being a good neighbor, or looking for trouble?

Why did Mitchell shoot at him?

Sucks when the only person who can give the other side of the story is dead. Unlike TV, crime scene investigation doesn't clear everything up ASAP. Often doesn't clear anything up at all.

Even if no criminal charges are filed, I expect a civil case will be filed. Could cost Pearson a few thousand dollars to find out doing nothing wrong doesn't mean you did something right.

Love it to death!  [ Fri May 31 2013 4:13 PM ]

Alice Cooper's Love it to Death was the very first album I ever bought. I still have it (and Killer), and a turntable to play it on. Still sounds great too.

Kitchen spoon and butter knife shootings are legit!  [ Fri May 31 2013 12:19 AM ]

If you attack someone w a kitchen spoon or butter knife, guess what you will be charged with? ADW: assault w a deadly weapon. Are they as deadly as some other weapons? No. Are they still deadly? You bet. Let me stick them in your eye and show you how.

Was it reasonable for the officer to think the spoon was some other deadlier weapon? Sure was. Was it reasonable for the officer to shoot to prevent him from going back inside to threaten the hostages w whatever it was he had in his hand? Yes again.

Might the city still have to pay out millions for this shooting? Oh yeah.

The Lord helps those...  [ Thu May 23 2013 1:56 PM ]

... who help themselves?

A guy at a church in South Africa drove off AK and RPG armed terrorists w his little snub nosed revolver.

Jean Assam stopped a shooter at her church in CO.

"If you do not have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Si vis pacem, para bellum?

Yada, yada, yada... and don't forget to keep 'em away from your crazy kids when they aren't doing the lord's work, or they may end up doing the devil's work instead.

Mr T lives here!?  [ Thu May 23 2013 1:45 AM ]

Well, know I know who the second baddest old dude in town is...

Arachnocool  [ Thu Apr 25 2013 5:15 PM ]

I watched a spider build a web from scratch, start to finish one day. Classic orb weaver. About half way through a fly got stuck in the web, and the spider went over a wrapped it up where it was at, then continued w the rest of the web. When it was done, it went to the center and started plucking strands w it's legs. On one pluck the wrapped fly shook, and the spider went out and got it, brought it back to the center for dinner.

Yeah, right!  [ Tue Apr 9 2013 12:40 PM ]

Seems like they are saying walking is as good for you as running, as long as you walk three times as long/far, or walk as fast as you run...

Pizza is health food as long as there is something green on it too.

What!? No vamps, wolves, or zombies!? WTF!?

Cash for guns!  [ Sat Feb 9 2013 1:05 PM ]

The BCSO is having a no questions asked safe gun buy back today. Just got $150 for a genuine Saturday Night Special from Detroit, about six times it's value, if it had any.

One gun off the street, only 299,999,999 to go!

Cats, Coyotes, and Bears, oh my!  [ Wed Jan 30 2013 11:29 AM ]

I was watching a cat watch a rabbit when a coyote rushed up and jumped on the cat. They wrestled a bit and the cat made a dash up a tree. The coyote trotted off. Then I looked around to see what was watching me...
