I applaude the mayor's development idea in the Bosque Nature Center State Park.

That area is nothing but trees and underbrush and the only use of it is by birds, squirrels, coyotes, etc. What a waste. The Bike trail could be widened to two lanes with a space on the shoulder for bikers, walkers, etc.

Access could be made by extending Candeleria across the ditch, building a bridge across it and clearing the area for a paved parking lot. Access from the north could extend across the ditch via any street off of Rio Grande. Two bridges, clear cutting, paving, etc would add dozens of jobs. In fact, why not clear the area that the Nature Center uses for parking and extend and widen it for overflow parking and shops? Any impact on wildlife or habitat from dozing and hundreds of visitors would be minimal. Good idea Mayor Berry! When can you start construction?
