I wasn't directing my comments and rude name calling at you. I was reflecting on half a century of reading the Journal, Tribune (rip) NuCity/AlbuquerqueVoice/Alibi/Mutual Oblivion and so on, and the number of anti-choice letters/editorials by men. In particularly I was reflecting on yesterday's Letters To The Editor page in the Journal where all the anti-choice letters are from men. Usually men who identify as "good" christians and conservatives. I forgot that you post under Pattriot and I can see why you may have thought by bellicose posting was directed at you.
I also don't think any element is well represented when it comes to adoption, especially of the sort of children you mentioned. We probably wouldn't be having to get so up in arms over the number of abortions performed if it was. And like yourself, many of the adopted folks I have had personal experiences with, were adopted by decent folks. Church going folks. I also know a few people who have been adopted, loved and raised up to be good citizens by Gay couples. Liberal, non-church going Gay couples.
I guess my point is that after a decade or so of volunteer work with the local pro-choice group and being on my High School debate team before and after Roe vs. Wade, I get tired fairly quickly by men who want to reverse that law. It's none of their beezwax what a woman does with her body. Whether it's at conception or near birth, it's none of my business either.
Obama is the first Republican I ever voted for. I am sorely disappointed in his performance or lack of, much like I think you are.
You're A-OK in my book Mike.
Be well and keep it Green.
Why is it that the majority of rabid, anti-choice, letter writing knuckleheads are men? If men took more responsibility in their sexual actions, this wouldn't be such a big hoopla. I'll take these dorks point of view more seriously if they start adopting and properly raising the unwanted children. Don't ever see that happening from that side. Just a lot of fake morality and hang ringing. Those types are far more amusing when busting a gasket over Obama's birth certificate than when they stick their noses into an issue that is basically none of their genders business.
Oh yeah, most of these men seem to consider themselves patriots. Yet these so-called law abiders will resort to violence, intimidation and fear mongering (as well as made up science and creationism) to justify their disdain of a Federal Law. The way they act you think someone was trying to take away their prarie dog weapons.

For the sake of Truth In Journalism.
Thank you for your consideration.
This kid actually writes an article without one mention of his freaking girlfriend.
Fairly good article on a part of the area many are unaware of. Like Smith, I've spent many decades exploring this almost-forgotten area.
Here's hoping for more articles about these sort of hidden places and more articles Mike-Smith-girlfriend free.
