glass in burrito at Empire [ Thu Feb 23 2012 3:45 PM ]
the best part of this story News 13’s Amanda Goodman asked a worker at Empire Burritos if he would do an interview about what happened. He said he would need to discuss it with the owners who weren’t there. After Goodman left she found out the worker was in fact Clifton Callicotte, the owner. Re: Lucia
Had the most delicious panini ever [ Wed Dec 7 2011 1:14 PM ]
It was the bacon, avocado, pesto... It melted in my mouth, was perfectly balanced, and quite possibly the best focaccia I've ever had. Simply wonderful. The fries were perfect as well. This is a place that knows food. And it was only $8 or $9 (other lunch entrees up to $12) The lunch selection was extensive. The service was top notch. What a pleasant experience. Can't wait to go back.

here's another viewer's take of The Wild Hunt that I agree with... "...the pace is a bit slow, which makes it difficult at first to get into it. But something about it drew me in, and if you are patient enough, I think you will be rewarded. The beginning is mainly devoted to depicting LARP'ers (Live Action Role Players) as childish, delusional, and ridiculous (which of course they sometimes are). But slowly, the film begins to show you the deeper, darker side of things, as the story steadily spirals out of control."

My recommendation for Instant Watch. SCA to the nth degree. Real yet fantasy. Humorous yet dark. This film is really well done. And the scabbard for this sword- it's Canadian.
Halloween Countdown [ Thu Oct 20 2011 11:16 AM ]
I'm down! I watched the 1st half of Daughters of Darkness (your prior I Like to Watch) and can't wait to get to the 2nd half tonight. Now this is going in the queue too. It can be a daunting task sifting through the Netflix Instant Watch so thanks for the recs. I especially like these that are a few decades old. |
