CommentsRe: Aural Fixation: R.I.P. Natural Sound
Read the Journal Article [ Fri Feb 3 2012 2:32 PM ]
about this and you'll also see they weren't able to talk with Paul either. Seems like he doesn't want to speak with media about this, so how could the Alibi reporter write a good eulogy when Paul isn't willing to add his insight on the situation? I won't lie, while Natural Sound helped push good music in ABQ, I had a hard time buying stuff there because it was always pretty overpriced.
Nah, I'd rather you put that training and that taser to use [ Wed Sep 29 2010 11:13 AM ]
Because that's why they gave you training to deal with situations that include someone wielding a knife so that you act like someone who was trained to deal with this situation instead of shooting to kill? Or how about that taser right next to your gun on your belt? Why not grab for that first instead of your gun especially if there is another officer right beside you who can do the same? Trigger happy police going wild in my city makes me feel just as safe as having someone walking around with a knife. At least the knife wielding person has an excuse of being mentally ill. Re: El Patio
I agree with Miha [ Tue Aug 17 2010 4:38 PM ]
So many people blow this spot up, but its pretty mediocre to me. Its probably cuz my moms makes the illest mexican food which has set high standards for me. I'd say Duran's Pharmacy and Barela's Coffee House have way better red chile than El Patio. But to each their own I guess. Re: NM Blogosphere Roundup: Los Poblanos, ABQ Public Sprawl, hating on the Rail Runner, UrbanABQ 2009
Ugh! Paul Gessing [ Tue Jan 26 2010 10:42 AM ]
I like how someone named the NM Libertarians the "We Got Ours" party. It's pretty fitting seeing that they seem to bitch about anything thats for the common good and things that help low-income families. I watched several news pieces on the railrunner (and read a couple more), every time the reporter asked Railrunner riders if they were willing to pay more to keep the train going, they all said they were down. So there you go Paul, your question has been answered. I'm just wondering when he starts campaigning against highways, libraries, and community centers because those damn things aren't making us any money either. Better get rid of em quick....
Film Industry-Guv's pet project [ Tue Jan 26 2010 10:37 AM ]
I highly doubt he will let any bill that cuts the film industry go through (seeing that he has the power to veto). They need to tax more out of state corporations and the wealthy (seeing they don't pay their correct share of taxes but instead get tax cuts) for starters. I hardly get sad by national news anymore, but man, a 9 year old committing suicide just has me dazed. |
