I didn't know they were still open  [ Thu Feb 28 2013 2:23 PM ]

I had heard rumors they closed a while back.

Humility and Honesty  [ Thu Jan 10 2013 6:09 PM ]

I come from a middle class family. My brother spent time on the streets, homeless, due to drug addiction. He has managed to get his life back together. It humbles me when I see him share time with homeless people he meets on the streets. He senses, and remembers, the humility. He takes the time to listen to them. They share their stories. I'm humbled. And shameful for my ease of life.

Thank you for sharing your story, Sean. You've made ripples at the very least, hopefully waves.

Lemitar Chile  [ Tue Nov 13 2012 4:12 PM ]

We've been getting Lemitar chile (chile from Lemitar) for the past few years from the Chile Konnection. We like Lemitar chile because they seem to be thicker. Even if we're just fooling ourselves, it's fun to have a favorite chile. We're loyal Lemitar chile fans!

As far as Chimayo red- we camped out in friend's chile field up there and harvested a handful of his chiles the next morning. They indeed made the best red chile we've ever had. We saved some of the seed and tried to grow them in our backyard in ABQ. Didn't work.

dry food. One more thing to be freaked out about.

Your anger is justified!  [ Fri Nov 9 2012 4:07 PM ]

That's totally effed up when people don't get to vote. You got screwed big time, Mike. I feel for ya and all the others who got wronged. It's unacceptable for any location in the US not to have the proper infrastructure for its citizens to cast a ballot. Period.

It's natural to want to blame the other side for a conspiracy though it's not productive. Either way, let's get to the bottom of it, find some accountability and do what we can to make sure it doesn't happen again.

and thanks for sharing, Alex  [ Mon Jul 23 2012 2:51 PM ]

You remind us there's a human story everywhere, in everything.

I would care  [ Mon Jul 23 2012 2:43 PM ]

Who was Keleher? I love hearing about how things got their name. And I have plenty of friends who find local history and lore interesting as well. Don't lose faith.

saw the blue recycling bins out this week  [ Thu Mar 22 2012 1:34 PM ]

I'm surprised they're as big as the regular residential trash bins. My street didn't get them yet. I like that this project will encourage more folks to recycle. But I am also curious about future costs (fees, taxes) to residents (In addition to the point of this article, environmental impact for the neighborhood where the plant may be)
