I'm still amazed that people forget that there are victims of this man out there. Bent broke the law, and even Healed said under oath that Wayne was naked. He uses religion to control people, and if you check your history you will see many disastrous examples of what happens when people are controlled. Sex is part of Wayne's religion, and he was obviously grooming these girls for "consummation". If you cant see that this is wrong, then please have you conscience checked, it is broken.

The Heaven Gate cult believed so strongly in there "truth" they laid down their lives. Is that noble? Is that admirable? Jim Jones' followers either were murdered, were the murderers, or committed suicide. That takes a lot of conviction! So why should it surprise me that the Strong City cult members will not look at all the similarities of all of the cults through out history and see that they are in the same trap.

Maren, what drew me into this case was the NG special. I know there are many other cults out there, and I have studied a few out of a curiousity from a socioloical point of view, but that special was the strangest thing I ever saw. In my opinion, I could see a psychotic manipulator controlling these vunerable people. The look in their eyes was just like that of the Manson Family. I contacted "Michael" by email and was surprised that he emailed me back. He was very smug, and not very "savior" like. Then the legal case started, and those like me who felt like this guy was grooming these young girls( and probably would have "consumated" if someone didnt stop him)had to keep up with the case. I have seen a few rude and thoughtless comments, but for the most part what I have seen are rational statements trying to get through to those still under Wayne's spell. And when you really listened to both the former cult members, and the current members, you can make up your own mind. I have watched this for a long time and I have.

Are we to see these people as having spiritual eyesight. Pamela, have you truely spent any time looking into both sides of the story, or did you make that statement based on just what you read in an article that was "in their own words". I'm glad you did not have to explain it to her.

Have you ever just known you were right about something, willing to stand your ground, only to finally realize you were wrong? The BTK serial killer was a well loved and respected member of his church for decades. Those who knew him could not believe he tortured, raped, and killed many women over decades. Do you really ever know someone? I'm sure you think you do. When your family and friends tell you that you are standing in a house that's on fire, dont you think you should at least go outside where it is safe and take an objective look?
