There's an interesting study done by the Texas A&M University on TNR practices. They started out with about 12 sterilized cats. At the end of 9 months they had over 30. An increase of more than 200%, all moved in of their own volition. This isn't due to any mythical "vacuum effect" that cat-advocates spread and lie about so often. For that to have happened you would have had to remove cats to create a vacuum for others to replace them. The exact opposite happened in this study. Simple reason being: CATS ATTRACT CATS Cat scents attract cats. This is why they spray everything, to attract mates and rivals and mark territory. Cat sounds attract cats. Mewing kittens will even attract stray toms who will kill the kittens if they are not their own (basic feline behavior of any cat species). Another interesting finding, sterilized cats very poorly defend their territory. Any unsterilized cats which are not so docile and complacent see this as easy-pickings and move in to take over. If that cat-colony is being fed then non-sterilized cats will actually overtake the sterilized colony's food-source. If there IS any kind of "vacuum effect" at all, it is that sterilizing cats cause unsterilized cats to fill their reproductive void. Not quite the kind of "vacuum effect" that everyone had in mind. If you want more cats? Keep even one around. More will find you. Get rid of them all and there's no reason for other cats to come to that area. I proved this myself by getting rid of every last cat on my own land, collared or not, HUNDREDS of them. ZERO cats moved in to replace them for over TWO YEARS. Now THAT is a viable "vacuum effect"! And should even ONE cat ever step one paw on my land ever again? It too will be shot on sight. Otherwise I'll be having to shoot and bury hundreds of them again in a short time.

I guess the loss of all your native wildlife being destroyed by a man-made invasive-species cat; all the death-threats that cat-lovers issue constantly (even Congressmen and their families are not exempt from getting cat-lovers' death-threats, Google for Congressman Oda for example); people losing the use of their homes and businesses to the pressures of cat-advocate groups (Google for Loews Hotels and feral cats for just one of thousands of examples); and even people's whole towns and cities being hijacked by cat-lovers means nothing to you. You might like the case in Orange County CA recently, where after years of outbreaks of Typhus, having found in the past that cats are spreading it, cat-lovers vandalized all the traps set out by two schools to catch the cats and stop the spread of this disease. Cat-lovers would rather everyone's children die than have their diseased feral cats be destroyed. You appear to be out of the loop of what's been going on lately in regards to the common cat and those that use them for their own political and territorial gains. Speak not of what you know not. Ah, I'm so glad you brought up the topic of who *REALLY* stands to $profit from TNR programs. For your perusal and approval ... LOL!!!! (do be sure to read to the end, attempt to circumvent your twitter-head afflictions if need be) TNR is humane?!? Really? REALLY?!? Well now ... let us just look at how to become JUST AS HUMANE as EVERY LAST TNR ADVOCATE. Shall we? Don't close your eyes, you don't want to miss this ... How to reduce feral-cat numbers THE-TNR-WAY by "natural attrition", but without traps & sterilizing them first: (or "The Way That *ALL* Stray-Cats Die") 1) Aim your car for cats when it's safe for all else to do so. 2) Put out poison for cats (Acetaminophen/Paracetamol (1-capsule generic tylenol) pain-relievers (the most cat-species specific), antifreeze, vermin-poisons, poisonous plants or animals -- the ways that all TNR'ed cats succumb to "attrition" by poisons). 3) Infect them with deadly diseases. 4) Turn your dogs or other large predators loose on them. 5) Starve them to death. 6) Let them die of thirst. 7) Put them in heated boxes until they die of heat exhaustion (emulate hot weather). 8) Throw them in freezers until they are dead (emulate a harsh winter). 9) Scratch the cat's eyes and gash their skin to emulate a cat-attack so they slowly die of infections. (Justifiably the same way they destroy all native animals. Though that involves more skinning-alive and disemboweling-alive so the cat can enjoy their play-toy writhe and twitch to death. The longer it takes an animal to die of wounds the more a cat enjoys it. The cat-lovers themselves also greatly enjoy this, or they wouldn't let their cats do it.) 10) Trap and drown. 11) Shoot them. Can you think of more ways that *ALL* TNR'ed cats die? NONE of them die of old-age you know! Any of these are the "natural" ways that TNR'ed cats die, according to TNR-Advocates' own definition of how their cats die through "attrition", so TNR-advocates should have NO problems when you destroy their cats this way! Right? It's how they're doing it! TO EVERY LAST ONE OF THEIR TNR CATS. If these methods are acceptable to all TNR-advocates then it's PERFECTLY okay for anyone else to do the same! If you kill their cats this way and they complain, they're just being whiny hypocrites. That's all. The ONLY difference in destroying them immediately in the manner that ALL TNR'ed cats die; instead of trapping and sterilizing them first; is that some money isn't going into an HSUS/SPCA board-member's pocket, veterinarian's pocket, cat-food company CEO's pocket, or a drug-company CEO's pocket. That's the ONLY difference. And THAT folks, is how to become just as "humane" as every last TNR advocate!
Typing 130+wpm does come with its own problems. The most often problem is from attention-deficit-disordered twitter-heads who cannot comprehend more than 140 ASCII characters per day. Some people can read, comprehend, and walk away with the riches that can be found in a novel. Some are content to ignorantly waddle in and wallow throughout life in a bliss-ninny's bliss of self-inflicted ignorance in the amount of information that might be found in their phone-number scratched into a bathroom wall. You can usually ascertain a person's level of intellect and comprehension by how many words they use to convey a thought. Most online with their 20 to 50-word long guttural grunts and replies reveal much about themselves.
Be cautious about using any cats taken from outdoors for adoption or you could be held criminally responsible. There's no way to know a wild-harvested cats' vaccination history, if any, nor their exposure to all the deadly diseases cats carry. If a cat has contracted rabies then a vaccination later will do no good. It's already too late. There's no reliable known test for rabies while keeping the animal alive. They need to be destroyed after they are trapped. It's the only sane and sensible solution. This is why all wild-harvested animals of any type intended for the pet-industry must undergo an extended quarantine up to 6 months before transfer or sale of those animals to prevent just these things. Cats are no different than any other animal when wild-harvested. You're risking this following story happening in every shelter across the land. Rabid Cat Adopted from Wake County Animal Shelter Adopting any cat that's been taken from outdoors is just playing Russian Roulette. Even vaccinating your cat against rabies won't prevent it from finding the nearest rabid bat or other small mammal dying on the ground from rabies, to cruelly rip it to shreds for its daily cat's play-toy. Then bringing back a mouthful or claws full of fresh rabies virus to you, your family, neighbors, other pets, or other animals. Stray-cats, the very source of all feral-cats, need to be euthanized too or you'll never be rid of the feral-cat problem. These are just the diseases they've been spreading to humans, not counting the ones they spread to all wildlife. THERE ARE NO VACCINES against many of these, and are in-fact listed as bio-terrorism agents. They include: Campylobacter Infection, Cat Scratch Disease, Coxiella burnetti Infection (Q fever), Cryptosporidium Infection, Dipylidium Infection (tapeworm), Hookworm Infection, Leptospira Infection, Giardia, Plague, Rabies, Ringworm, Salmonella Infection, Toxocara Infection, Toxoplasma. Cat-lovers would rather that children at 2 schools die than have their diseased cats be trapped.) Hookworm: Hookworm from Feral-Cats Ruined Miami Businesses Their most insidious disease of all, cats' Toxoplasma gondii parasite they spread through their feces into all other animals. This is how it gets into meats and humans get it from meats, cats roaming around stockyards and farms. This is why cats are ROUTINELY destroyed around gestating livestock or important wildlife by shooting or drowning them. So those animals won't suffer from the same things that can happen to the unborn fetus of any pregnant woman. (Miscarriages, still-births, hydrocephaly, and microcephaly.) It can kill you at any time during your life once you've been infected. It becomes a permanent lifetime parasite in your mind, killing you when your immune system becomes compromised. It can last over a year in any soils or waters and not even washing your hands or garden vegetables in bleach will destroy the oocysts. Contrary to popular cat-lovers' self-deceptive myths, a cat can also become reinfected many times during its life and spread new oocysts each time. It's now linked to the cause of autism, schizophrenia, and brain cancers. This parasite is now also killing off rare and endangered marine-mammals along all coastal areas from cats' T. gondii oocysts in run-off from the land, the oocysts even surviving in saltwater. Its strange life cycle is meant to infect rodents. Any rodents infected with it lose their fear of cats and are actually attracted to cat urine. Parasite Hijacks the Mind of Its Host Cats attract rodents to your home with their whole slew of diseases. If you want rodents in your home keep cats outside of it to attract diseased rodents to your area. I experienced this phenomenon (as have many others), and all rodent problems disappeared after I shot and buried every last cat on my land. The time has come to destroy them all whenever spotted away from supervised confinement. There's no other solution. We have nobody but cat-lovers to thank for this health and ecological disaster.
Here's another interesting aspect of TNR that few seem to be aware of: Not long ago I learned that TNR cat-hoarders practice a form of "TNR-On-A-Budget" (my name for it). TNR cat-hoarders who want to keep feeding their cats but can't afford all that tedious mucking-about and getting them sterilized or vaccinated just trap the cats and clip the cats' ears themselves. Then release them again right after clipping their ears. Doing their best to hide all evidence of where they keep these colonies and telling few about them. This way the cat if trapped again just gets released right there so the cat-hoarder can continue to dote-over and feed their unsterilized and unvaccinated cats. Plus everyone else who might happen on their secret cat-hoarding locations thinks those cats are sterilized and vaccinated so they have fewer concerns about them still overbreeding or spreading deadly diseases. The TNR cat-hoarder feeder just tells them, "Oh, don't worry. See that clipped ear? They are sterilized and vaccinated. Perfectly fine and legal!" Thanks to these "TNR-On-A-Budget" people, clipped-eared cats must be trapped and euthanized or destroyed on-site -- the only affordable and sane solution for everyone. If you doubt what I claim about TNR-cat-hoarding addicts practicing "TNR-On-A-Budget", then perhaps you might enjoy this post I found to again prove everything I say is 100% true. They don't talk about this practice too openly, just like they like to hide their cat-hoarders' colonies and how they attempt to do so (also revealed in the thread this post was taken from, verifiable link below). While also lying to her HOA to boot. She even believes that what she is doing *is* TNR, that's just how demented these people are. I'd say this person reflects the norm rather than the exception, since TNR advocates relentlessly lie about so much and so often. Hint: for those of you permanently solving cat-hoarder's ILLEGAL TNR invasive-species colonies by stepping up their rate of "attrition" (i.e. death by any means necessary); look around for any game/field/trail-cameras that might be hidden from immediate view, then collect them as a souvenir and payment for your well-deserved efforts.

FACT: Every last TNR cat dies a cruel and heinous death; under the wheels of a car, from other cat and animal attacks, finding environmental poisons, starvation, dehydration, heat exposure, freezing to death, infections, incurable diseases, parasites, etc., etc. And if very very lucky being humanely shot to death or re-trapped and humanely drowned (the two most common methods often employed on all farms and ranches to protect their gestating livestock's offspring and valuable native wildlife from dying from cats' Toxoplasmosis parasites). FACT: Hunted To Extinction (or in this case, extirpation of all outdoor cats) is the ONLY method that is faster than a species like cats can exponentially out-breed and out-adapt to. Especially a man-made invasive-species like these cats that can breed 2-4X's faster than any naturally occurring cat-species. FACT: Alley Cat ALL-LIES of NYC have only managed to reduce the number of feral cats in their own city by 0.08% to 0.024% (and as the months go on that percentage becomes even more insignificant), thereby allowing more than 99.92% to 99.976% to continually and exponentially breed out of control. Here's how Alley-Cat-ALL-LIES' deceptive math works: If you TNR 4 cats and 3 die from being flattened by cars, this translates to a 75% reduction of feral-cats worldwide. Alley Cat ALL-LIES can't even reduce the number of feral cats in their own city, yet they promote it as a worldwide solution. Then even bigger fools fall for it and promote it. FACT: When researching all the most "successful" TNR programs around the globe, JUST ONE OF THEM has managed to trap more than 0.4% of cats in their area. Oregon's amazing 50,000 TNR'ed cats (the highest rate I found) is only 4.9% of all feral-cats in their state. Yet, by applying advanced population growth calculus on the unsterilized 95.1% of cats, they will have trapped only 0.35% of all feral-cats in their state sometime this year. <0.4% is a far cry from the required 80%-90% to be the least bit effective. FACT: Their mythical "vacuum effect" is a 100% LIE. A study done by the Texas A&M University proved that any perceived "vacuum" is just the simple case that CATS ATTRACT CATS.
