Position Summary: This position is a grant funded position working for the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Undergraduate Pathway, STEM UP CNM/UNM cooperative and will serve as the key liaison between the two institutions and the grant to implement grant initiatives that focus on advising and support of transfer students. In conjunction with Enrollment Management the STEM UP Cooperative grant director this position will: >Serve as a central liaison and a primary point of contact for CNM transfer students and Gateway students. >Provide advisement, guidance in UNM procedures and academic early alert warning and individual educational planning services, connection to academic departments and peer mentor access for CNM transfer students entering UNM. >Develop and implement assessment and data collection methods to ensure that STEM UP advisement, admission, retention efforts are data driven and will provide reporting on all activities towards institutionalization of practice and grant reporting. This is a Department of Education Title V Grant funded position and is term through 9/30/2016. The STEM UP Cooperative grant is awarded through 2016 to work with CNM and UNM in increasing enrollment, retention towards degree attainment for Hispanic and Low Income populations.
