LEGISLATIVE ANALYSTThe American Society of Radiologic Technologists is seeking a Legislative Analyst to evaluate proposed legislation and regulatory polices at the federal and state level to assess their effect on ASRT, its affiliates and the profession. The successful candidate will possess broad legislative knowledge and analytical and communication skills. Responsibilities • Conducts careful and systematic research and analysis using a variety of methods, choosing the methods appropriate to a particular issue. • Drafts clear, concise and well-organized legislation and regulations, reports, summaries and amendments, including potentially complex or controversial legislation. • Tracks, monitors and analyzes pending legislation and regulations with the use of the ASRT’s legislative tracking system and other sources. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, government or communications. • 3-5 years’ experience evaluating legislation and regulatory policies at the state and federal level. • Solid knowledge of health care policy management, regulatory structure and finance. • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and write legislation that speaks to several demographics. • Supreme relationship builder, able to share insights, seek out opinions and listen to the needs and concerns of others. • Service-driven, committed to providing the highest level of service, approachable, flexible and responsive. • Strong problem solving and creative skills, the ability to exercise sound judgment, and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. • Telecommuting, contract or remote work are not an option. ANIMATION PARTNER NEEDEDProduction company seeking an animator to collaborate on a cartoon pilot. We have characters, settings, and stories. We require design and animation in a style and method that suits the artist, us, and our timetable. After production costs (voice actors), the animator will receive 1/3 of any profits. This is a 20 minute pilot comprised of 2 stories and approximately 15 character designs. From start to finish the initial character designs and animation should take no longer than 6 months. Other animators can be brought onto the project at the lead animator’s discretion. Compensation for those animators will come from your third of the production’s potential profits.
