The Job We are looking for a dynamic, high performing Campaign Manager to drive implementation of a new statewide campaign to reduce illegal tobacco sales to youth in New Mexico. The Campaign Manager will also support high school youth advocates as they work on the campaign as part of their participation in Evolvement, Rescue’s award-winning youth engagement program. Day-To-Day Activities: Mobilize Youth and Adult Volunteers: Recruit and train adult volunteers statewide to serve as local advocates for the campaign in their communities; Support youth and adult advocates in implementing campaign activities and events in their communities; Train the Evolvement Youth Leadership Team members to speak to the media, conduct high-level campaign efforts, and present to stakeholders regarding the campaign. Grassroots Events: Organize and participate in campaign events as well as provide the necessary support to empower youth and adult volunteers to be the drivers of events in their communities; Recruit, train, and manage a team of 5-10 paid event staffers to assist with community events. Other Campaign Management: Develop and implement strategies to drive the campaign forward – including proactively assessing the campaign environment in NM and recommending strategic moves to adjust the campaign accordingly; Oversee the collection, quality, and analysis of public opinion surveys and tobacco retail environment assessments; Conduct media outreach on behalf of the campaign, including writing and distributing press materials (such as fact sheets, media advisories, and press releases); Provide regular reporting of progress against campaign goals, and communicate campaign expectations to the full campaign team; Travel to communities throughout New Mexico and do hands-on fieldwork and training. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree OR 5 years relevant experience; Excellent interpersonal skills (one-on-one and in a group format) – candidates must be able to work within a team; Willing to work 50% or more of your time traveling throughout New Mexico; Excellent team-building, presentation, and facilitation skills; Commitment to mobilizing communities through strategic organizing; Ability to prioritize assignments and demonstrate a high degree of initiative; High-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint; Time management skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines; Strong written communication skills; Be solutions focused. Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Status: Full-time Position Travel: 50% or more within the state The Fine Print Environment: All business-related environments are tobacco-free. Must have valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and computer and Internet access. Must be available to work non-traditional hours such as late nights and weekends. Physical Requirements: Able to remain in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time and stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the building for the performance of duties. Able to read from a computer or laptop monitor for several hours at a time including fonts of various sizes from a variety of sources. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients, coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars. Must be able to move boxed work documents (surveys & materials), up to 40 pounds, in and out of office for travel by car and by air.
