Under the direction of the Facilities Services Tech supervisor, the Facilities Services Tech works independently and collaboratively to service campus facilities with a wide range of non-technical maintenance. The duties include plumbing, repairing leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed lines; mechanical tasks with trouble-shooting and diagnostics; standard repairs of electrical fixtures, switches, replacement of components; heating, ventilation and cooling equipment (HVAC) at a level not requiring a journeyman licensure. Perform carpentry tasks such as installation/repair of sheetrock/drywall, cabinet and countertop replacement, painting and texturing, installation of door and hardware. The position also repairs and diagnosis small equipment and appliances, operates motorized equipment, snow plow, power tools and hand tools, including general upkeep of all tools.
