Seth MacFarlane of "Family Guy" fame writes and directs his first theatrical feature. He also stars, voicing the same character he always does, a cute yet foul-mouthed sidekick with a braying New England accent--who, in this instance, happens to be a teddy bear. Mark Wahlberg headlines as an unhappy adult still saddled with a talking teddy bear courtesy of a childhood wish. The joke is that all the lines about hookers and drugs are coming out of the mouth of a teddy bear. A teddy bear! Perfect, if you thought The Velveteen Rabbit needed more dick jokes. 106 minutes R.
