Transformers / Star Trek / Cowboys & Aliens writer Alex Kurtzman turns director for this surprisingly low-key dramedy about a broke con man (Star Trek's Chris Pine) who is handed $150,000 in his estranged father's will. The only catch? He's supposed to deliver it to the sister he never knew (funnylady Elizabeth Banks, continuing to play it straight). It's a contrived situation all right, but one ripe for the tear-jerking. 115 minutes PG-13.
