This unapologetically flag-waving, Jesus-loving film not only manages to salute the hell out of the U.S. military, it also finds time to denounce America's "War on Christianity." When a young patriot goes off to war and is killed, his entire family is nearly torn apart by grief. Fourteen years later, the soldier's wife and now-teenage son (his name is "Christian"--hint, hint) return home to reconcile with grandpa. Christian asks a lot of questions about what his dad died for. Then, he gets kicked out of school for bringing a Bible. Black people, homosexuals and other un-Americans are destroying our way of life! In the end, the whole family stands up and gives a big, long speech about freedom and religion and freedom of religion (so long as that religion is Christian, of course). It starts and ends with quotes from Ronald Reagan. Chuck Norris gave it his Seal of Approval. (Honestly!) 101 minutes PG.
