Sinister

Ethan Hawke lends some acting credibility to this found-footage(ish) haunted house drama from the producers of Paranormal Activity and Insidious. If you've seen those, you know what you're in for. Hawke plays a struggling true crime novelist who moves his family into a home where some notorious murders took place. Conveniently, he discovers some old home movies in the attic, which appear to show a serial killer stalking his victims. Eventually, the supernatural intrudes, and Mr. Hawke and his family find themselves dodging a creepy, cinematic boogeyman. 109 minutes R.
