The Beatles' hyper-psychedelic 1968 cartoon gets a much-deserved digital remastering and sound upgrade. According to the team at Triage Motion Pictures, "due to the delicate nature of the hand-drawn original artwork, no automated software was used in the digital cleanup of the film's restored photochemical elements." All work was done "by hand, frame by frame." The result is an eye-dazzling look back at the terrible Blue Meanies' war on Pepperland. Naturally, John, Paul, George and Ringo are called upon to save the day with music and humor. Among the featured songs are "Eleanor Rigby," "When I'm Sixty-Four," "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "All You Need is Love." 89 minutes
