Now Hear This, Vol. III

Consumers of my dancing-
The Daily Mail reports that it's created using carbon nanotubes—"which are 10,000 thinner than human hair and so miniscule that light cannot get in but can pass into the gaps in between"—and if that isn't enough, it's 10 times stronger than steel and conducts heat seven-and-a-half times more effectively than copper. Yeah. Owing to my obsessive-compulsive nature, themes prove irresistably attractive, so here are my favorite songs that pay tribute to blackety-black, er, Vantablack. Share your favorite black-centric tracks in the comments, fellow darklings.

Ok, NOW I want a Wii
By John Bee [ Wed Apr 28 2010 8:25 AM ]
I think I've been avoiding the Wii. Every time I've had the money or been riding the hype wave to a consumergasm, something has gotten in the way. Most often it's been bills that have backed me down, but at least twice (once with a PS3, once with a sweet new video card for my PC) I've had the option to buy one, and somehow gravitated toward something else. I already have a Nintendo DS and a Gamecube, so I'm not exactly averse to having the Nintendo vibe in my life, but something has been keeping me away.
Today, I think I know what it was. I think it's because it's white. When it was released, the Wii just looked like a throwback to the then aging design of the first 4 or so generations of iPod. Apple was just kicking its white Macbooks to the curb, and I for one was grateful. The whole accessorizing as though I lived in THX 1138 world was over for me, and my fancy was not tickled. Today, all of that is seemingly over. Farily well substantiated rumors have begun to appear of a (gasp!) BLACK Wii! Suddenly it feels like wild horses couldn't tear me away from my electronics store of choice on May 9th.
