Funky, drank-y and draggy tunes for Thursday's child
By Samantha Anne Carrillo [ Thu Dec 13 2012 11:49 AM ]
Music can encapsulate a feeling. I'm not exactly sure what feeling this mix captures, but it probably involves illicit substances, Dixie cups, seapunk chic and halfhearted twerking. Musicians from Los Angeles, Portland, New Orleans, Chicago, New Orleans, San Jose, Calif. and France conjure up the sound I was looking for last night. The Quintron song is definitely NSFW. As for the rest, you'd best judge for yourself. Stream the mix and peep the track list below.

Best of Burque’s worst band
By Samantha Anne Carrillo [ Thu Dec 6 2012 2:00 PM ]

I remember the first time I stumbled onto the horror that is Brokencyde. Slack-jawed, I watched the act’s music video for “Freaxx,” which is included below—along with a couple other wastes of YouTube bandwith—for your viewing displeasure.
