A devastating earthquake in Nepal has left the death toll at over 4,000 and rising.
It also sparked an avalanche on Mount Everest.
Other natural disasters around the world this weekend included a giant tornado in Texas, heavy rains and flooding in Pakistan, killing dozens, and volcanic ash blanketing the Chilean town of Ensenada.
McDonald's expects to have closed at least 700 stores by the end of 2015.
The James Holmes murder trial is set to begin today, almost three years after the mass shooting occurred in a Colorado movie theater.
In other Colorado news, mayhem erupted at a carnival in Colorado Springs over the weekend.

“Breaking Bad” took home the big prize last night.
A hearing today for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is aiming to decide whether prosecutors will seek capital punishment for the Boston marathon bombing, since the state of Massachusetts does not have a death penalty.
A body found on Saturday evening in western New Mexico is believed to be an 83-year-old man by the name of Howard Bassett who went missing a week ago during a flood in Mogollon, but authorities haven't confirmed the identity.
The prosecution is scheduled to wrap up their case today in the trial of John McCluskey, who is accused of killing an Oklahoma couple in 2010.

Webgame Wednesday on Thursday: Flooded Village

Dig a trench from the river to water the plants and float the boats. Don't drown the people. Sounds simple enough, but the grid-based puzzler Flooded Village throws enough twists and turns at you to keep the old think-box working overtime. Further impediments (like ice) rear their ugly heads, forcing you to make more convoluted excavations in the landscape. What are you waiting for? Get digging!
