Two of my favorite things (eating and reading) happened last night at a very peculiar, and wonderful, pot luck.

Six of us gathered at a friend's house, fired up the BBQ (and threw everything from pineapple to polenta to sausage on there), chowed down and, as we tried to digest, read aloud to one another.

The food was amazing (because my friends RULE!) and the readings varied. There was an essay by Stravinsky, a letter penned by Hunter S Thompson, a dramatic scene from The Milagro Beanfield War and a couple others. It's easy, a good way to get to know your friends, and a great excuse to eat ALL THE FOOD in sight. Try this at home!
