Artist Chelsea Wrightson created this heartwarming flyer to advertise a ’60s-themed dance party that will benefit new, female-identified Burque newspaper, Neblina . The sepia-toned depiction of a game of cat’s cradle and old-fashioned typewriter font evoke memories of sleepovers and unearthing vintage treasures from grandma’s costume jewelry cache. DJ Bea, who played Song Roulette on page 36, will transport advocates of women-powered media to the summer of love at Blackbird Buvette (509 Central NW) on Friday, Nov. 30. Starting at 10 p.m., bring your mom and your 21-and-over bosom buddies to revel in grrrl power and groovy tunes.
