There is no order.
As hard as it was to cobble together a lineup of my favorite hip-hop releases of the year, it seems even more futile to arrange them first to last. These albums stand here for so many reasons: production, beats, lyrics, flow, freshness, aesthetic. I could arrange it and re-arrange it a hundred times for a hundred different reasons.

Gilded Cage Burlesk and Variaté is definitely getting on Santa's “Naughty” list with Yule Logs and Jingle Balls: A Very Risqué, Very Glittery, Very Burlesque Ode to the Holidays. Burlesque dancers, sideshow performers, drag acts and more join forces to celebrate this most sparkly of holidays in grand style. The headliners for this show are Colorado boylesque stars Mr. Valdez and Mustang Monroe. They'll be joined by New Mexico faves like Vivian MirAnn, Mena Domina and Holly Rebelle. Doors at Low Spirits open at 8pm, show starts at 9pm sharp and entry is $10.
