Frankly My Dear, You Should Give a Damn

Dear Alibi,

If we give a damn about catastrophic climate chaos, about saving water, about water pollution, about saving forests … if we give a damn about cruelty to animals, about all hungry people worldwide having enough to eat, stop eating all meat and dairy—cheese, milk, ice cream, eggs. Even worse than using cars and planes, eating meat and dairy is the number one cause of climate chaos! Far more people can be fed from the same amount of farmland growing grains, seeds, nuts, greens, vegetables and fruit for people to eat than by growing crops to feed cows, pigs and chickens, and then people eating those animals and their products.

The Sierra Club, Greenpeace and most US environmental groups refuse to say these truths because they fear turning off many supporters and not getting their money! Watch the powerful documentary COWSPIRACY on Netflix or borrow the DVD free through interlibrary loan. Watch also the strong documentary Forks Over Knives on Netflix or available for free on DVD from our local libraries.

My parents ran our county's oldest cattle and hog market in Illinois where I grew up. I worked in that cruel business for years. I stopped eating all meat and dairy many years ago. I have owned no car for 36 years. I have ridden in no car for 15 years. We can wake up! We can change!
