A delightful Vietnamese restaurant, Saigon has plenty of comfy booths if you want to eat in, and speedy service if you plan to take out. In the mood for something different? Say ... quail? Saigon has got you covered. Just make sure you don’t leave without tasting the perfectly seasoned, rich pho broth and a glass of Thai iced tea. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

Siam curries are a splendid and lip-smacking affair that cling to every grain of rice like a slinky nightgown. Order anything involving tofu, peanuts, noodles or fried eggplant (which, now that we think about it, is pretty much the entire menu) and you’re guaranteed to walk out with a big smile. Order drunken noodles extra-hot and you’ll be dousing your head with the waitress’ pitcher of ice water ... and loving it! (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

Our local casa de carbohydrates will fill you up and still leave you with some change in your pocket. Have a hot cup of Red Rock coffee and choose from a staggeringly long list of bagels, including the yummy sun-dried tomato. The schmears are homemade, from sweet honey-cinnamon to savory smoked whitefish. Bagels may not be the food of the gods, but they are definitely our holey little friends. Owner Nancy Rogers still makes at least two flavors of mouthwatering scones every morning, and it’s a full service restaurant that serves booze. In addition to the scones, make sure you try the green chile pocket or the steak and frites. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

The place is a bit hard to find, but once you’re inside everything about it screams for attention. From the all-caps menu to the “irreversibly hot” (their words) food, a meal at Thai Cuisine Express is sure to be memorable. Try the pumpkin curry and the guew teaw (Thai style pho) for something really special. (Alibi Staff, July 18, 2013)
