Irrational Pie has some of the best American-style pizza I’ve ever had. My personal test to find good pizza is order a Margherita pizza. It’s simple and just delicate enough to know if a chef knows what they’re doing, and they certainly have that here. It’s a food truck, so they’ll likely be near you at some point during the week (if not, it’s worth seeking them out). (Alibi Staff, October 8, 2015)

Chef Kimberly Calvo now dishes up some of the best grub in town at the Seasonal Palate food truck. Especially worth seeking out: her oyster or shrimp po' boys with a side of fries. But the changing menu also features other delicacies like Thai green curry, a savory chicken salad, and falafel served with house-made tzatziki. (Alibi Staff, March 29, 2012)

Soo Bak Food Truck’s tag line reads: “Korean Seoul Food”—an apt description of the innovative fusion of traditional Korean and New Mexican cuisine apparent in the dishes. You can get adventurous with the Korean chile cheese fries or stick with classic, and deliciously light, kimchi and rice. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will be pleased with the fresh mandu (veggie dumplings) or daeji bulgogi (spicy pork) tacos. (Alibi Staff, July 18, 2013)

Looking for something light and fresh in your food truck exploration? Try Conchita’s Creations where there is a weekly five dollar salad special, like the turkey mango avocado chopped salad. Other salad features include the standard cobb and fruity Mandarin orange pomegranate salad. Sandwiches are also available. (Alibi Staff, July 18, 2013)

Argentinians love their meat, and chef Diego Grant is no exception. Skirt steak and choripan sausage sizzles away on the grill he hauls behind his truck, ready at a moment’s notice to be dressed with locally grown greens and slapped onto a torta roll. Or try one of his ground beef and milk stuffed empenadas. Either way, El Gauchito’s cooking is not to be missed. (Alibi Staff, September 12, 2013)

The word “gedunk” is a Navy term refering to snack foods and the places they are sold. Fitting, then, for veteran Chef Patrick Humpf’s food truck to bear the name. The menu changes often, and features everyday food with a gourmet twist. One Wednesday, you might partake in a rich dessert like their tasty Boston creme cake, while the next week could bring you face to face with chocolate-piñon-coffee rubbed pork tacos. Rustic chef Jonnah Torres and Kelly Adams greet customers with burgers that snuggle in their brioche buns and keep you coming back for more. The Divine Intervention burger is a succulent stack of hand-ground chuck, bleu cheese, carmelized onions, rosemary balsamic reduction, romaine hearts and tomato. But do try the other dishes, including the pulled BBQ pork sammies and flat top dogs, all cooked and assembled with TLC. (Alibi Staff, October 29, 2012)

The chef may not have a brogue, but you’d never know it from the food. Using family recipes, the Scottish Pie Shop serves up as authentic a shepherd’s pie or plate of bangers and mash as you’re likely to find in this sun-baked land. Finish off your Celtic feast with a bag of shortbread cookies and you’ll swear that you can hear bagpipes from just up the ridge. (Alibi Staff, July 18, 2013)

Can’t make it to the San Pedro Squeezed location? Never fear, the Squeezed food truck is on the move all over the city, delivering fruity smoothie concoctions, fresh squeezed juice (duh) and even quinoa salads and acai bowls for those who need something solid under their belt.
