The truth of the matter is that you can't get full at Burger Boy for under nine bucks. But damned if it ain't worth every penny. We haven't figured out the secret yet, but Burger Boy serves up the most delicious green chile cheeseburger you'll ever put in your mouth—right up there with the original Owl Bar in San Antonio, N.M. Check out the tasty (and low-fat) ostrich burger. It’s worth the drive and the dough!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner in a down-home atmosphere. Mostly New Mexican fare, and mostly tasty. The decor—works by local artists—won't always match your taste, but you can be certain that something on the menu will. Daily specials are usually the best bet and the standard American menu items (sandwiches, burgers, etc.) are perfectly worthy. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

Next to Triangle Grocery on Hwy. 14, Chef/Owner Jay Wulf’s Greenside Café calls to mind Hemingway’s "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place." It’s light and airy with a few hidden booths that, like Hemingway’s shadowy leaves, are refuge from the hustle of the dining room—and the city below. Perhaps the correlation between Hemingway’s stark description of the human condition and a place that serves enormous and tender slabs of chicken-fried steak is a little too deep, but mountain air has that effect on people. While you’re up there, order the "Sangre de Cristo," a sandwich similar to a Monte Cristo with ham, turkey, Swiss and cheddar cheeses, green chile, and grilled, egg-battered Hawaiian bread. Everything’s made in-house, including the ice cream. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

Some folks will tell you barbecue is a difficult thing to screw up. Not true. That’s the reason your own barbecue isn't as good as the stuff at Ribs. The portions are large, the grub has a good smoky essence to it and there's plenty to choose from. Not surprisingly, the ribs are ridiculous. Some of the very best barbecue in the area.
