India Kitchen knows hot. In fact, novice players shouldn't even order medium, and the Pope of Peppers himself, Dave DeWitt, says the lamb vindaloo is the hottest dish in Albuquerque. The intimate India Kitchen also has a large vegetarian menu dotted with exciting combinations of fruits, nuts and vegetables. Be sure to shop a little from the selection of spices and gifts up front.

The Tandoori Lamb was tender and great spices. The mango lahsi is delicious as well as the mango ice cream and muthri. The pistachio saffron ice cream is interesting and not bad at all. Really liked the appetizers. Staff was very helpful and fast.

  • Awesome Indian food!  [ Thu Oct 14 2010 6:55 PM ]

Wonderful Indian cuisine, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Need no or low salt/fat? No problem! Just ask and Aja Gupta will accommodate your request. Aja and Rajul Gupta have operated India Kitchen for more then 30 years, and their regular clientele is testamony to what excellent Indian food can be found here. Hard to beat a comfortable, homey atmosphere and friendly service combined with tasty food. It's our favorite Indian restaurant, and we're there often. Try their Mulligatawny Soup--wonderful and like no other!
