If you live in the west University area and are bored to tears by salad bars and onion rings, this is the place for you. Vibrant salads and a variety of little pickles accompany gorgeous Middle Eastern platters brimming with spiced, all-natural meats. The Jerusalem salad’s tomato, cucumber and tahini combination is bright and flavorful; perfect with the homemade pita and hummus. Chicken lovers will rejoice in the kabobs, which are tender and delicious.

  • Damn good gyro...  [ Fri Dec 3 2010 1:39 PM ]

I've driven by this place for years, but never thought of stopping in until today. I was pleasently suprised. The gyro I had there was one of the best I've ever had. If you're thinking of trying it but unsure, give it a shot.

  • One of my favorite Mediterranean restaurants  [ Mon Dec 13 2010 5:39 PM ]

They have the best falafel, babaganoush and beef shawarma.

The falafel is perfectly crisp and crunchy on the outside yet not too greasy and deliciously moist on the inside.

The babaganoush is so velvety and smokey, I wish I knew their secret.

    The hummus is perfectly balance.

And the beef shawarma is seasoned better than any in town.

I've never been disappointed with Yasmine's. I just started going there this year and now I try to eat there once a month.

  • MMMM.  [ Tue Dec 14 2010 2:21 PM ]

The decor is lacking, but don't let that dissuade you, the food is very good.

  • They have a front patio now too.  [ Wed Jul 13 2011 1:44 PM ]

Their babaganoush is the best I've ever had.

And they have falafel stuffed with beef that is uniquely spiced (cinnamon?).

I wish their hummus had more garlic in it but I do love the hot pickled relish that garnishes it.
