Do not leave The Range without ordering something involving bacon and queso, even if it means you have to get side dishes of them both. These people serve thick, meaty bacon and obviously understand the power of the dreamy, cheesy goop we call queso to transform simple breakfast items from ho-hum to hot damn! They’ve even rescued the humble bowl of oatmeal from perpetual breakfast boredom by parking a scoop of their fabulous housemade cinnamon ice cream on top of it. Don’t forget to take home a fabulous housemade tarte Tatin from the pastry case. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

1) best pancakes I've ever had.
2) chicken fried steak and eggs? very good.
3) guy with the gas-powered hedge clippers outside needs to back off. That's a little too loud for new year's day morning.

they put a bunch of garbage on the huevos - like a whole dinner salad worth of spinich greens. Man, I don't wan't to eat a bunch of greens on my breakfast. However, as stated above, the chicken fried stead (with green chile gravy) was excellent, and the couple bites I had of somebody's pancakes blew me away.

I like the Huevos con Queso. It's like eggs benedict, but with extra hot chile con queso instead of hollandaise sauce. I'm not wild about their beans or their "range fries" and the prices always raise my eyebrows, but the queso makes up for it for the most part.

I like the quirky atmosphere and the breakfast food. Having never eaten at any other time of day, I can't speak to the rest of the menu but the pancakes and omelettes and Southwestern breakfast entries are generally pretty good. Nothing too surprising, but if you want a solid place to take guests for Sunday brunch, the Range is a good all-around choice. Mind you - it can get pretty noisy on Sunday mornings.
