One of the many little treasures to be found in Albuquerque’s South Valley, Los Compadres is a humble, rambling building that’s always packed with folks from the neighborhood. On the menu are all of your traditional New Mexican favorites ( adovada , menudo, posole) plus a sizeable list of real Mexican food, like tacos al pastor , desebrada burritos and bistec a la Mexicana . Garlicky, super-flavorful salsa; crispy chips (both homemade); delicious chile; cheap to reasonable prices. This was a last-minute venture and a wonderful surprise. Go to there.
