What’s the best thing about the ocean? The food it contains. And the seafaring mateys at Los Equipales make a fine, fine bowl of soup. The fish tacos will make you forget you live inland, and the seviche will have you screaming “here, fishy, fishy!” So forget the lobster bites and have some authentic Mexican seafood, voted the best in Albuquerque in our restaurant poll. While you’re at it, the glass jars of house-made horchata are so huge, you could practically swim in them. If you prefer to stay dry, try the flan instead. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

Excellent foods, although rather pricey. (Save some $$ by paying $8 for a $20 dinner certificate at 999dine.com : [link] )
Try their huitlacoche dish for a very unusual taste. And try to go there when they have acoustic guitarists strolling around the tables.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food with many healthy choices. Atmosphere is warm & comfortable and service is excellent. We go there often and are never disappointed. Los Equipales has become our favorite Mexican restaurant, and we often bring out-of-town guests there. Try their Soup of the Seven Seas--fantastic!
