This ray of sunshine in Huning Highland serves gourmet breakfast and lunch made with local ingredients, sells housemade English muffins and has a mini-shop filled with goodies like honey, jams, mustards and vinegars, not to mention non-edibles like cook books, serving vessels and cards. The hot and cold sandwiches are dandy and come with twee sides of sliced bread-and-butter pickles and fruit salad. There’s also a large, shaded patio and incredible housemade cupcakes. Team this up with an espresso bar, wine service and “Sangria Saturdays,” and the power of triumvirate treats awaits you. Voted Best Brunch for 2013. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

  • JoyfulBelly.com Review - Passionfruit cupcakes are perfect  [ Sat Jul 26 2008 8:13 PM ]

We visited The Grove on July 25th and sampled the cupcakes on recommendation from a friend. They were delicious. The coconut cupcake had a hint of almond, the chocolate cupcakes had the perfect creamy icing. We also enjoyed the book selection (Tartine was my favorite). Obviously a chef with experience and passion for pastries.

  • Fresh and bland  [ Mon Jan 18 2010 11:53 AM ]

Hubs and I enjoyed the quality of our meals while both agreeing on their utter blandness. My breakfast sandwich of egg, tomato, lettuce and avocado on English muffin tasted exactly like each of those parts, without it coming together to be something more. His turkey sandwich was the same. A sharp or complex cheese could have made it. This has pretty much been my experience here--great ingredients, but the end result is disappointing.

  • Very light food menu choice.  [ Mon Mar 8 2010 8:28 PM ]

they used good quality meats for their sandwiches. bit pricey for a small sandwich

  • Get the Pancakes. That's an Order.  [ Mon Dec 6 2010 1:59 PM ]

The GROVE PANCAKES with fresh fruit and crème fraiche served at Grove Café & Market are not like those mushy and overinflated diner versions that I have had at many places elsewhere on this planet, and are in a celestial class all by themselves. Thin, eggy, and utterly delicious. The fresh fruit is excellent even in the winter. This is (rightfully) one of the Grove's most popular dishes. Sound the trumpets.

  • I like ...  [ Mon Dec 6 2010 2:03 PM ]

The English muffin with butter and honey is my favorite thing at The Grove. And the coffee, Intelligentsia I think, is some of the best in town.
