In the grand style of down-home New Mexican comfort food, just about everything here is smothered in chile and cheese. House specialties include fajitas, stuffed sopaipillas and enchiladas.

I had a great dinner at Los Cuates Friday night. The Marcus Special included a generous helping of perfectly tender carne adovada, along with a cheese enchilada, beef taco, rice, beans and sopaipillas. The beef taco was a little dry, but mashed down nicely into everything else. The red and green chile were both tasty, but I'll probably opt for all red next time… and even order an extra side of red, so I can make everything swim. It was all I could do to clean my plate of the feast, but clean it I did. I was helpless to do otherwise.
