While The Cube’s presentation is upscale, the portions you’ll get are of standard barbecue proportions, unlikely to send you home hungry. Ribs, chicken, brisket, links and pulled pork are hickory-wood-smoked and prepared with a spice rub (“dry”) or drenched in tangy, smoky, sweet, acidic sauce (“wet”). Both versions are excellent. Hot dog lovers will have plenty to chew on with Chicago dogs, bacon-wrapped Guadalajara dogs and 505 dogs (bacon, avocado and green chile). And with mapley candied yams, mac and cheese, and skin-on fries, the sides at The Cube are hardly side notes. To wash down your meal, there’s a wine and beer list, and a hefty menu of house-made mousses, pies and muffins for dessert. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)

  • BEST Twice baked potato...and desserts...and BBQ....IT'S ALL GOOD!  [ Wed May 12 2010 8:49 AM ]

Amazing food. Soul food is a big part of my family tradition--and the owners over here know what's up. FLOORED.

  • DELICIOUS  [ Thu May 13 2010 11:17 AM ]

Oh how I love this place. My faves thus far- the sausage, top sirloin burger (I get it with Havarti cheese), mashed sweet potatoes and the 5 cheese mac & cheese. I crave their food on a weekly basis. AND they have Marble and Odell beer. Yeah.

  • It's just "OK"  [ Sun Jul 25 2010 4:26 PM ]

We went there on Saturday, for lunch. The people were really nice, but the service was slow. I got the 2 meat combo (sausage and brisket). It was good. The person I was with got the brisket and it was cold.

  • I like the variety  [ Tue Jul 27 2010 11:54 AM ]

You can't get their side choices at other BBQ joints. This place has not only good BBQ but burgers, unique sides, salads, desserts, good beer and wine. And I love their magazines! ;)

  • Best BBQ in ABQ  [ Mon Aug 23 2010 12:44 PM ]

Man, for my money, the Cube is the best BBQ in town. The brisket is tender, the mac n cheese is creamy and the candied yams are to die for. It's not the most atmospheric place in the world, but the service is friendly and the food will definitely scratch that comfort food itch.

  • Best Burger I've had in Burque  [ Wed Sep 22 2010 8:04 AM ]

The Cubes food is definitely some of the best in Burque. Amazing portions, amazing tasty home cooked food! Their desserts are another huge surprise. The Cube should have their own Cube Bakery with fresh pies and cookies....ohhhh yum. They warm up the cookies and put whipped cream and other drizzle over it. Definite heaven for a hungry man. I've lost myself....where are my car keys...is The Cube open?

  • Best onions rings ever  [ Mon Mar 12 2012 3:20 PM ]

Perfectly battered and fried. Light and airy yet crunchy. They also have my favorite burger in town. It's juicy and tender and melts in your mouth (unlike the dense pucks they serve at some burger boutiques). And not only do they have collard greens they have delicious collard greens! And big ass cookies that they heat up and serve with fresh whipped cream.

  • oh, and the juicy brisket  [ Mon Mar 12 2012 3:23 PM ]

It's not smoked brisket. But it's the juiciest, most tender around.
