Laid-back and celebratory, La Isla is indeed a wonderful little Mexican oasis on the other side of the river. La Isla bills itself as a marisco s restaurant, and it’s true that the seafood is a culinary delight here—try the fried fish with garlic and onions or the giant siete islas soup. But even landlocked dishes such as the flat, shredded chicken enchiladas in a plate-licking-good green chile sauce are just as delicious. The next best thing is washing it all down with a Tecate, served in a glass so chilled your lips almost stick to it. (Alibi Staff, August 11, 2010)
