It just makes sense to order the steamed artichoke at the Artichoke Café. Slathered in lemon-caper oil and a raspberry vinaigrette, it makes a great starter before trying a heftier order of grilled curried chicken or sliced steak. Once your upscale lunch or dinner has concluded, adjourn to the sexy wine bar next door. The wine list is actually a bound leather tome featuring a massive assortment of wines. Prices start at a decent $28 or $30 a bottle and zoom into the upper stratospheres of frivolity. You can also order select vintages by the half-bottle or glass. You'll love the front-facing windows, curvy wooden bar and comfy seating.
Alibi recommends: Any of their signature drinks will pair wonderfully with the menu. The raviolis are especially wonderful.
Vibe: High-end dining in a clean, classy locale

Boese Brothers Brewing doesn’t use any tricks or gimmicks to get people to come to their location because they don’t have to—people know they consistently serve good craft beer at a reasonable price. If you’re in the Downtown area and don’t want to walk into a crowded night club or bar to get a drink, Boese Brothers’ is the best place to go. With this variety of quality brews, there is a beer for anyone. We recommend going on a Sunday night when there’s a comedy open mic.

Climb what feels like 500 stairs and enter into a small, neon lit pool hall. How awesome is a distillery with both knockout drinks and a great small plate and entrée menu? It’s pretty darn awesome, which is why you’ll frequently find us sipping a cucumber-infused gin fizz at Hollow Spirits’ bar and sharing cassava fries and charcuterie with our homies.
Alibi recommends: Bloody Mary flight, gin fizz, avocado toast
Vibe: Casual and social: great place to bring a bunch of friends after work

If twerking contests, 18-year-olds and urban dance music is your bag, well, enjoy. Drink some vodka (if you’re over 21), get sweaty on the dance floor with a stranger, and gaze up at the go-go dancers in boots with the fur (with the fur) as they get everybody amped up and ready to drop it like it’s hawt.

After admiring the expanded interior and hip industrial-style lighting, have an award-winning beer or three and wobble on over to whatever food truck is there (which you can find on their website). While the trucks stay until about 10pm, Marble is open ‘til midnight every night except Sunday. Listen to some live bands on the community patio every Saturday night, or grab a growler, six-pack or keg to go if you want to avoid the loyal following this Albuquerque favorite has gathered.

Another creation I tried was the Candice Rose. Named after infamous bank robber Candice Rose Martinez - the college girl who robbed banks while on her phone, such a millennial move - this drink features Teller Vodka, a house-made hibiscus simple syrup, rose and lime with a mint-rose garnish. The ice in this drink is hand-cut, adding an extra bit of flair and design to the look. Slightly sweet, the hibiscus and rose fuse together to create a floral taste that is gentle and relaxing, truly the energy of the so-called Cellphone Bandit herself is on display in this drink.
Alibi recommends: Candice Rose. Trust us.
Vibe: Craft distillery focused on easy going interactions

If you’re in need of a good conversation and a personalized sampling flight, Sidetrack is the best brewery to go to. The servers are personable and chatty, but if you’re feeling introspective or want a private conversation, take your drink and meal (the food is provided by local restaurants that they have on rotation) and head out to the gorgeous patio. The beer selection is always changing, so there’s always something new to try at this modern taproom.
