This indoor-outdoor brewery is as cozy as it is fun. The bartenders are friendly and informative, and you’ll often find the owners working the taps with a smile. The identifying feature of the outdoor patio are metal towers stretching high above the building. Gaze up at them as you savor an American dark sour or Scarlet beh gose.

If twerking contests, 18-year-olds and urban dance music is your bag, well, enjoy. Drink some vodka (if you’re over 21), get sweaty on the dance floor with a stranger, and gaze up at the go-go dancers in boots with the fur (with the fur) as they get everybody amped up and ready to drop it like it’s hawt.

Sister

The cavernous, ground-floor counterpart to Anodyne, Sister is a space tailor-made for happenings. This is a perfect spot for enjoying a quiet dip into the vast draft beer selection with your comrades after work or boogying to the multitude of live bands that occupy its stage nearly every night. Make sure to try one of their fun and refreshing cocktails like the Ho Chi Minh coffee.

Albuquerque - Nob Hill

Imbibe

3101 Central Ave NE (Nob Hill)

(505) 255-4200
www.imbibenobhill.com
Mon-Sat: 11am-2am Sun: noon-midnight (hours can change without notice)
Meals Served: Open Late
Imbibe is an über-trendy cigar lounge with backlit smoke-tendril art and contemporary seating. There are hordes of annoying knockoff-clad barflies as far as the eye can see, but the humidor is well-stocked and well-attended by knowledgeable staff, and there’s a rooftop deck (if you can make it up there; there’s always a line). Get there early for the best seats.

Finally, the Fried Chicken. When talking with someone at the bar the next day, he asked what I should order, and I told him the fried chicken, wherein I described it as “the crispiest, crunchiest skin you’ve ever had, packed full of seasoning, all holding in some of the most moist white chicken you’ve ever had, with the perfect pairing of sides and a hot sauce that doesn’t need to be there, but is so much better for existing for it.” Afterwards, he told me I undersold the dish to him. I cannot begin to tell you how highly I think of this fried chicken. With a buttermilk brine, the mashed potatoes and gravy and that incredible hot sauce, it is so incredibly good I felt shame when I couldn’t finish my second piece.
Alibi recommends: The fried chicken, the meatloaf, and the barbacoa nachos.
Vibe: High-end-dining featuring American cuisine with a cocktail lounge.

In addition to an upscale selection of booze, the cozy and modern Q Bar serves a brief but pleasantly appetizing menu of nibbles and noshes. The dishes are small enough to make good snacks and expensive enough to keep them that way—you'd have to spend more than you'd like in order to really fill up.

A tried-and-true college sandwich shop, Cheba Hut is Albuquerque’s answer to a Which Wich or any number of grab-n-go deli situations. With fresh-baked bread, loaded sammies and plenty of vegetarian options, they definitely know how to cater to their crowd. They’re open ‘til midnight, too, so provide a great solution to those late-night munchies.
