As of Jan. 14, everyone in Bernalillo County will be making $6.75 an hour . And it’s about dang time. The County Commission voted to up minimum wage, mirroring Albuquerque’s hikes over the next couple of years. On the first of the year in 2008, it will be $7.15. In 2009, it’ll be up to a whopping $7.50.And then all the minimum wage workers will buy themselves crowns and fill a bathtub with all those extra greenbacks and roll around in it like Uncle Scrooge. Or they could eat, I guess.
