Alibi Picks B-List
There are quite a few things going on this weekend but if you need some more, here ya go:
This is your last chance to see Sam Shepard's True West at The Vortex (2004 1/2 Central SE). Someone in the cast told me this would be the best weekend to see it, and I'm inclined to trust his judgment as he's in the cast. Shows tonight and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 per person. Call 247-8600 for reservations.
The Stove (the super awesome new arts space in East Nob Hill) hosts a gallery opening tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight for its F3 show featuring the music of Luminous Craft, Eva and Ben, By Lightning, and Ghostkimo. For more info, call 232-0640.
Also tonight, Factory on 5th Art Space (1715 Fifth Street NW) invites everyone to help artist Frank Denaro paint Warhol's Marilyn in a giant paint by numbers interactive art experience. The art making starts at 6 p.m. and is followed by refreshments and entertainment.
