A film festival for the ladies, sci-fi chatter and a washed-up hollywood hunk ties the knot--all on this edition of the Picks we couldn't fit in this week's Alibi.

Women and Creativity Film Festival

The National Hispanic Cultural Center plays host to more than 20 films directed by girls and women from all over America. Showings begin tonight at 6 p.m. and continue Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. All the flicks are free to see.

Melinda Snodgrass

Award winning science-fiction novelist Melinda Snodgrass will talk about her forthcoming dark fantasy novel The Edge of Reason at Some Stuff From Huff Studio on 5900 Domingo NE.
