With the cooler temps and seasonal brews, fall also brings us pretty nifty outdoor festivals. Explore some of the lesser-known festivities of our fair state and head to the eighth annual Socorro Fest in the city plaza of Socorro (take I-25 south 75 miles). Enjoy a slew of local and regional music acts, a harmonica contest, and even a spirits tent with local wine and beer. Socorro Fest runs this Friday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. Entertainment and admission to the fest is free, but entry into the spirits tent is $5 for those 21-and-up.
